Random Studies on the Capital Principal of Capitol Principles

Twenty Seven Musings For the Day:

1. Musings can be the same as themes. They can also be titles and beginnings.
2. The theme of lists is amusing.
3. A muse can be a geometric shape.
4. Shapeless brownies don't exist. Or do they?
5. I know it's only logical that when the sun is out it's warmer, but that doesn't stop me from asking why it's not warm out.
6. The sun isn't that logical. I mean, when you think about it.
7. Thinking directly about the sun may cause something to burn out.
8. The sun will eventually burn out. I don't need a billboard to tell me that. It will happen.
9. Too much sun makes brownies melt into shapeless piles in my bag.
10. Don't leave brownies in your bag.
11. Some items on some numbered lists aren't musings or themes, but reflections and directions.
12. The formal you is "you."
13. "Thou" was the familiar, informal "you."
14. Thou shalt not make a list in attempt to be clever.
15. If thou shall try, thou shall probably fail.
16. Shit, there's like eleven more to go.
17. Okay, I tend to type faster when I have too much coffee.
18. "Too much coffee" usually means I have to pee.
19. Thou shalt not make rhymes with "pee."
20. Ray Lewis, who may or may not have killed someone, has warned the world that if there is no NFL season this year, there will be more crime. I'm not sure if that's a threat, but I suspect it is.
21. I don't know what Ray Lewis has against me.
22. Are they saying, "Boo?" or "Boo-urns"?
23.When one gets one's word count in for the day, things like lists tend to sprout.
24. Only need a few more.
25. Shit, look at that, only two more to go.
26. Okay, clearly these musing ran out of steam long ago.
27. A long time ago, once upon a time, in the beginning, it was a cold and stormy night. (See number one.)

Mean Jeans On Repeat...or A New Mix Is Brewing

Had my favorite IPA today, tonight, this day, this night. It beats out the Founders IPA just ever so slightly. I still miss Founders, of course, but it's tough to legit miss a building or a company, or a company within a building. So, in that, I actually miss aspects of Founders that have nothing to do with the structure or the business, necessarily-- other than it is a structure that holds/shelters other things that are legit things to miss. Like beers. Like people. Like talks with people over beers on porches. I miss porches in general. Most of my genius moments, the few I have had, have been on the porch. (There's some tense salad for you, "have had have").

Anyway. The theme for today, but not today, more like a theme for the past year or so-- three of my favorite bands have released new albums...the first two just might be my favorite album of said bands... the third I am downloading right now.

Okay. That is all.

A Song of a Clash Game of a Tide Of Storm Crow King Thrones Feast

I was on a boat. It was true. Not a metaphorical boat, but a real one. Well, it was a house boat, so maybe "real" is relative. And relatively speaking, the discussion of relativity was a bit more than usual, but less than expected being under all those pinpricks of twinkling points. Lots of 'em. So many stars that the familiar patterns started to blur and become unrecognizable. Seems likes there's a metaphor in there somewhere, out there. Or maybe a lesson. Inverted lesson on the proportion of light to understanding. Something nerd-ish like that.  I was also in Vegas. Not on a boat, but also surrounded by more lights than usual, and more blurring the edges of time, also more than usual. It was a moving TV that I couldn't fathom. I was actually in it. Not a TV show,  but strangers, lights, drama (of sorts) short skirts and riff raff. And back-lot. Studio sets. New York, New York, but not New York, New York. And repeats. Oh yeah, and Brochachos galore. And if we extend the idea (or lack of) of light and metaphor, then I wonder what it means when I say "I got some sun." And in addition to that, but prior to "getting sun" I applied layer and layer of protection. Sunscreen. I'm not very bright, sometimes, but other times... well, bright enough. I didn't burn. Not that I'm aware of at least. Anyway. My mug is now frosted (not a metaphor) and the beer is ready. Gawna queue up some cartoons.
