Themes for this day, today:
Are Subaru Outbacks made in Oregon? Are they made with trees? Is there some Oregon tax incentive to purchase one? Not a theme per se, but if the movie of Oregon were playing, the Outback would be some sort of motif.
Motif. Motive. Molotov.
Somewhere in that 3 am lull I had come up with something even more clever than the past perfect tense...but, I lost it. It had something to do with tractors.
Here's some things: this story, the latest called "Additional Results"
Here's some older ones:
"Level Up"
"The Magnus Effect"
"Wednesday's Truck"
It seems some of the places where the others were published are now defunct. Such is the life of the internets.
Speaking of stories, I will now dig some up and work on them.

More Bookmarks
Well, time for more links that I will look upon later and laugh and linger on long thoughts of yesterday and tomorrow.
And why not, here's one more.
And why not, here's one more.

My Brain is No Longer Wearing A Bra
Themes for this moment, this day, any day, every day... Repeat.
Just an FYI, ketchup and coffee cake are not good together. Stuffed and burger are great together. Stuffed food in general is a good idea, I think. Or maybe I'm joking, not sure. Pizza Hut has a pizza with a crust that is stuffed with a pizza. Meta pizza, think it's called.
Anyway.
Weather talk raining down all around me while I think of guacamole and salsa, non sequiturs and taquitos. Okay, not taquitos, not really.
I turned in the paperwork for a passport today. This probably wouldn't be big news for most, but for me who has had a difficult time with my ever elusive birth certificate, phobias of paperwork and forms, and general avoidance of places that always have long lines, this is a big step. Also, it's been on my yearly goals list for about thirteen years. So, yeah. GOAL, is what I'll say when it finally arrives. I'll probably use it to go to Canada or something. Nothing against Canada, per se, but it is the Faygo cola of countries.

Zen and the Art of Drinking Very Hot Tea
No themes for today, not really, unless sodium is a theme.

Donuts and Do Nots
This isn't a theme per se, but:
There was a point in time, in my life, where I realized that shows like The A-Team or Knight Rider or movies like Rocky 3 or Top Gun were supposed to be written for adults and not ten year old boys.
It is said, When everyone knows beauty is beauty, this is bad. Rocky 3 was beauty and we all know it.
Finally, how much turkey bacon is too much turkey bacon?

More Ice, Less Vanilla, Some Lime... Or Another Allusion To Gin and Tonic
Themes for this day:
Something about unimpeded harmony
or something
blunts the edges,
resolves the complication,
harmonizes the light...
Something like that.
Also: Bulk spices. Of them, I can't stop talking about. I have acquired spices I can't pronounce and can't wait to make some India-tastic wonders of edible joy.
Also: Them Ants do not like that we have declared independence and are trying covert operations back into the no-fly zone, or rather, the no-ant zone. This time, however, the Raid brand spray smells like lemon Pledge brand dusting spray. This is good because it no longer smells like a mechanic's garage in here every time I fly a few sorties. This is bad because Pledge stinks.
Anyway. It is true, times are hard for dreamers, but I still will.
Lastly, last.

Super Sonic Gin and Tonic
Themes for the day:
See title.
Also: naps, work, more mexican food, and making to-do lists which, by the way, was number one on my to-do list. A paradox of sorts, but that's how it goes sometimes.
Apparently the ants have just retreated, and I now see the folly in telling my plans to eradicate them. Their doom is near. So is my olfactory system and possibly the paint job in this apartment.
It's tough spending an entire week not-thinking. That's what I've been doing. Not contemplating the unraveling of plans that have been solidified in my mind for the past ten months, and questioning why I put so much stock, or faith, or assurance in said plans. I liked how this place felt like home, and I'm doing my best to hold on to that. So...In an unprecedented display, I will forgo the allusions and cryptic silliness that often takes hold of me when Picture of a Donkey Eating a Pineapple comes to mind, and just say what I've been saying. I did not get into grad school as I had planned, and now I'm not sure what to do about it. There, it's been said. Now, time to move on.Or at least vent about something new.
Originally this blog was to replace facebook as the one little means I had to connect to the virtual world. But, since I didn't bother telling too many people about it (read: none) I'm not sure it really connects with anything, other than me, perhaps. It's just words on a screen in yet another blog. For one reason or another, however, sometimes when no other words want to come out, or you've suddenly lost all confidence in those words, it's good to have something to type that has no criteria, no goals, (except to maybe crack a smile or roll some eyes now and then) and no reason for its existence. Thus.
Anyway. Gotta go work on my malaria defense.
